Zeppos was frankly a disappointment. The decor is cute with kitchen hardware serving as fixtures. The light shades were collenders and there was a chandelear made of graters.

The menu had the typical higher end choices with an assortment of pasta and low carb offerings. Prior to ordering the watress brought fresh bread with potato chunks baked into it. The table had good oil and vinegar on the tabe. Optimistically, I tried the lemon chicken (pollo y lemone). The presentation was nice in a large shallow bowl with parsely garish. Unfortunately, the chicken was overcooked and smothered in a sauce just a bit lighter than alfrado. The carrots were over cooked. My companion's meal was similarly disappointing.

I'm afraid I can't recommend the restaurant. The prices were reasonable at about $8-$12 an entree, but food quality was disappointing.

Four of us had dinner last week and found the food and service to be outstanding, as it alway is.

Their pizza on the special menu may be the "best ever."

We drive up from Salem several times a month to eat there.

I love Zeppos and here's why: The salads are fresh and flavorful, the pasta is perfectly prepared and the sauces are superb. If you have not had a hamburger at Zeppos, you are missing out...!!! Thick and juicy with the best French fries I've had in a long time. I also like Zeppos because the servers are friendly and it is a privately owned restaurant. Doug, the owner is usually there helping to serve guests and always has a warm smile for everyone. There are three very sweet booths in the back that are very private, with curtains! How romantic. I love the atmosphere.

My favorite thing is to walk my French poodle down to Zeppos at 8:30 for happy hour, served outside on a warm evening. I particularly like the pasta with chicken and fresh mushrooms in marinara sauce accompanied by a Cesar salad, all for $9. The wine selection is wonderful, too.

Zeppos is a wonderful little community within Lake Oswego. The food is of consistently high quality, quite tasty and fairly priced. The fun however is in the easy ambiance supplied by the owner, Doug, and the staff, who work very well together, enjoy each other's company and their customers, and manage to make the restaurant feel like a small club...one at which you are quite welcome. And not only you, but your dog too, at least in warm weather when the tables are set up outside. (Unbidden, the wait-staff will bring your pooch a bowl of fresh water and a dog biscuit supplied by the local dog-whisperer.)

It is perfectly located for people watching, especially in fine weather, and the menu offers a range of dishes that run from a gargantuan and top-drawer cheese burger to memorable small plates (chicken skewers!) as well as traditional pasta and bistro food.

And, of course, if you have a choice, you should ask to be served by the delightful, professional and always attentive Mimi..

My wife and I found out about Zeppo and decided to give it a try. We had seafood pasta, panini and tomato/mozzarella caprese. The food was tasty and unique, service was friendly and our bill was pretty low compared to other restaurants we've gone to in Lake Oswego or downtown Portland. Definitely a place to visit again.

My boss orders lunch from here at least a couple times a week; he has ever since Zeppo's opened. They've continually forgotten parts of the meals; I honestly can't remember a time I haven't had to go back and pick something up that they forgot. Finally, this week was the last straw. I spoke with the owner (who acts very pretentious) about this, and he said that next time we ordered a meal from them, it would be on the house. Today I called and ordered my boss's lunch and told the server what the owner had said. When I got there, she said that they had only subtracted the cost of the (last) meal they had messed up, not the entire meal. She called the owner only to apparently have him say, "That's like ordering a hamburger, not liking it, and asking to substitute a fillet mignon." Excuse me? It was only $4 extra, not to mention this was through no fault of OURS, but THEIRS. Ridiculous and rude. Never going here again, and I suggest you don't either if you like being treated well. We're in a recession, and they're throwing away consistent business!

HORRIBLE Restaurant. The food was cold and the service was the worst I've expereinced anywhere. I would never go here again.
