I tend to be a tough grader especially when it comes to food I' passionate about like bagels. Bottom line is that I find Bagel Country's bagels and food to be slightly below average, especially for a relatively high priced kosher establishment.
I visited Bagel Country with 5 other people for lunch. I ordered soup, Israeli salad and a bagel. People I was with ordered a variety of other items, no one was blown away. My soup was average, My Israeli salad was too small and lacked any real flavor. The bagel was decent, but expectation was far higher especially given the mediocrity of the other items.
The service at Bagel Country was fine and the restaurant was generally clean. This combined with the fact that nothing served was bad means that this is not a place to run from. Its just that there are plenty of other establishments including chains like Panera Bread that are better.
If your dietary requirements keep you kosher, I suspect Bagel Country fills a location-convenient niche. Otherwise, try somewhere else.
