The highest praise for Chuys Mexican Restaurant is the fact that I once ate 3 consecutive meals at this place and never regretted a single bite. I would have to say that Chuy's is the best Tex-Mex I have ever had.

Chuys is a local Mexican restaurant chain which owns and operates 8 locations in and around Austin, Houston and Dallas. I have eaten at 2 separate locations and both were fantastic. But given I have had most experience with the Round Rock installation, my review focuses there.

Chuy's Round Rock nicely balances and fun environment, great food, reasonable prices and a wonderful bar. Lets start with the environment, its open and colorful. You can sit inside or out. Some points of interest include a wall made from plastic laundry detergent bottles and Chuy the fish pictures hung allover the place. The fish pictures were colored by kids who have eaten at the restaurant. Moving onto the food, what more can I say I ate their 3 straight times. Also during all day business meetings with Dell, I could have opted for more glamorous lunch surroundings but when I mentioned Chuy's to my Dell clients that is where we all ate lunch. So yes, the food rocks. Their salsa is extremely fresh and tasty. I have had both chicken and steak based items
and both were amazing. Do not hesitate to order enchiladas, they are my. The best of the Enchiladas on the menu is the Chuy's Special:

* Blue Corn Tortillas
* Roasted Chicken
* Cheese & Tomatillo Sauce
* Sour Cream

The prices at Chuy's are very reasonable, the only way you
will ever get in trouble there is if you indulge in one too many house margaritas for $3 or domestic beers for $2.25. Chuy's is great, I highly recommend it.

Chuy's is, in a word awesome. I love it so much I am begging the owners to PLEASE bring one to Oklahoma, preferably Tulsa so I can eat there everyday. I lived in Austin for 6 months and was referred to Chuy's by every single one of my coworkers. My husband and I went to one of there locations and LOVED it. We loved it so much that we often ate there at least once a week and sometimes more, we have tried nearly all of there locations and the atmosphere, food and friendly service was consistently great at all locations. Before moving back to Oklahoma we went to Chuy's 4 times in one week. I am obsessed with there fresca salsa and jalapeno ranch dip. The Tr es Lechas, the Mexican wedding cake is my favorite. I heart Chuy's so much if I had the money I would buy one, and all of this is coming from someone who is insanely critical of all restaurants. Please eat there for me.
