Overall
Generally good, with notable exceptions.
Good
The venison was tender and wonderfully flavored without any hint of gaminess. Unfortunately the sides lacked the same quality. The chestnuts were somewhat dry. The vegetables were pedestrian. The beets were also unpopular. The lovely fondue used emmenthal and Gruyere. The steak was juicy and tender with the butter nicely melted over the steak rather than leaving a pat of butter. Much better. The chicken was dry but the filling was tasty. The breading was supposed to have hazel nuts that didn't really come through. The tater tots seemed out of place in this upscale restaurant.
The tirami su was light and fluffy with beautiful tasty fruit. The caper berry on top was an unusual touch. The black forest cake unfortunately was dry and similar to a mousse cake. I recommend the Tirami su.
Surprising
The music was an odd choice of polka that later blissfully ended.
Disappointing
Tuber based vegetable sides formed in Platonic solids.
Service
Attentive and friendly but not intrusive.
Ambiance
White table cloths in a quite restaurant. The decor included various swiss artifacts
