Owen's Poultry Farm is just a wonderful place to buy poultry oriented products. Items I have enjoyed from the Farm include fresh turkeys for Thanksgiving and all the trimmings including potatoes, stuffing, squash and homemade cranberry-orange relish. Its all top notch food.

Beyond the typical Thanksgiving fair, I regularly buy their freshly cooked and stuffed chickens. A whole chicken stuffed and cooked fresh will run you about $11.50, feeds 3-4, and has lots of flavor without all the salt of the cooked chickens at the supermarket. I also eat a ton of their home-made chicken noodle soup, its delicious and loaded with carrots, celery and big chunks of, you guessed it chicken.

While I do not personally eat eggs, I know several folks who buy their eggs exclusively from Owens. The people at Owen's are also very friendly. You can call them in advance to hold a cooked chicken to make sure you always get one.

One last highlight is that I notice lots of people bring their kids to Owen's to check out the farm animals. Those kids seem to really enjoy the experience.

Only word of caution for Owen's is that they are cash or check only, so leave your credit cards behind. Otherwise Owen's is a great find. Enjoy the chicken.

Even though I have to travel 45 minutes to get to Owen's Poultry Farm - I wouldn't buy chicken/turkey any other place. I gave up on supermarket chicken about 5 years ago.

The poultry is consistently fresh,meaty and tender. Fresh whole chickens - small and large - are available as well as "cut-up" chicken and bone-in chicken breasts. The chicken breasts are so meaty that I cut them in half. The turkeys are great too!

The store is very clean and pleasant. There are lots of frozen entrees - including a delicious chicken pot pie! They have quite an assortment of "gourmet" jams and jellies as well as other canned foods.

According to the season - a small assortment of fresh vegetables are offered. There are always fresh baked pies and breads.

It's a fun place to shop.
