We recently tried Filberts looking for a nice meal. We weren't disappointed. The butternut squash soup was wonderfully flavored with clove and pumpkin. Many of the main courses had pork which isn't my favorite, but they made the cod without the pork jowels for me. The cod was fresh and delicately browned. It was accompanied by brown lentals and small colliflower pieces. My husband had the lamb shank which was spactacular. If you like lamb I recommend it.
The decaf coffee is worth a mention. It's from Kobo's across the street and was wonderful.
This is a restaurant that pays atttention to details. The boxes for left overs are made locally from corn and decompose in the composte bin. They look like regular plastic boxes, but break down easily.
The amiance is understated and modern with a moderate noise level.
