Good
Nice snow despite a lack of recent snow.
Terrain
Very good for beginners and advanced beginners. I worry that the generally shallow pitch of the mountain would make snowboarding difficult in the event of substantial powder. Generally well groomed. Black diamond runs were pretty easy, so intermediate riders might try these if the marked intermediate runs are too easy.
Each chair seems to have its own ranking for run difficulty.
Goat's Eye Express had very nice runs, they were steep and well covered. Unfortunately patches were heavily scraped by previous riders. In the event of a storm, this would be my first choice. Note that this chair is awkwardly placed mid-mountain/mid-gondola and the runs from the top of the gondola have flat spots. It's best to access this run from the gondola departing at the Goat's Eye Express stop.
Mount Standish Express chair had generally good runs, but not as steep as the Goat's Eye runs. The top can get windy and cold, but it's worth it. It is also a good chair in the event of powder. The runs are reasonably accessible, but the less experienced may wish to choose a different chair.
Wawa Quad chair had very nice accessible runs. The advancing beginner might consider some of these runs. They were wide without too much pitch. Flat spots were limited to the bottom of the run.
Continental Divide Express have quite easy runs even on trails marked blue. This chair's runs are even easier in general than those from the Wawa Quad Chair.
Parking
We visited on a Sunday and despite a late 9:30 arrival we didn't walk too far.
Amenities
Spotty food quality on the mountain. We ate at the Deli and I judged the food worse than a lunch truck. The four other members of our party also felt the food was exceptionally bad. The bathrooms mid-mountain could have been cleaner and were somewhat difficult to get in and out of.
Several days later we tried the Bistro on the 3rd floor of the mid-mountain area. That was much better. The quesadilla was quite acceptable, and everyone enjoyed their burgers.
Disappointing
Very shallow runs in places. Note the review for the steeper runs.
Unexpected
Remarkably poor mountain food at the Deli. I recommend bringing lunch or eating elsewhere.
People load your snowboard and skis on the gondola. A great amenity.
The gondola is quite low around 5,000 feet. A relatively long ride brings you to the more rideable areas which includes two mid-mountain areas.
