Horsefeathers restaurant has been a landmark in the center of North Conway Village since 1976 and here's why, the food rocks. Not to mention the service, decor and drinks. Horsefeathers is the quintessential mountain area pub restaurant.
The only downside to this restaurant is that it is so good patrons often have to wait for a table. But if you plan accordingly the wait is more than OK. First the bar serves up several great drinks from locally brewed beers to tasty margaritas. If bar drinks are not your thing, there are several interesting stores within 10 feet of either side of Horsefeathers entrance.
The menu at Horsefeathers is large and varied. They have great steaks and burgers for those who come in hungry and their signature horse fries (house made french fries) are the perfect complement to the main course. My favorite dinner dish is the Pan-Seared Medallions of Beef with Wild Mushroom Ravioli... two great tastes that taste great together! There are also lighter meals like an assortment of salads and fresh grilled fish. I have been eating at Horsefeathers since the early 80's and everything here is good. Likewise the service has been consistently good for 25+ years especially considering how consistently busy the place is.
For families with young kids, I would recommend lunch or dinner before 7:00. The bar will fill up at night and then the restaurant can get a bit loud.
Overall Horsefeathers is a GREAT restaurant offering a nice value and friendly service.
